Plot: Charlie Price inherits a nearly bankrupt shoe factory from his father, the main business for the inhabitants of the English village where it is located. While watching drag queen Lola perform, he gets an idea of how to save it. He starts producing sexy boots for transgender women and drag queens; feminine-looking but sturdier, these shoes withstand the weight of these ladies. Lola becomes a designer, the factory is saved, and business increases.

Notes: Some scenes were filmed in Italy. For his performance, Ejiofor earned a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor in a Comedy or Musical Film.
